Pokemon Go Donation

Contribute to science by donating your Pokemon Go data

Take advantage of your right to see what data games company hold over you

Keep control over exactly what parts of your data you share

About the project

Technology companies like Niantic (the developer of Pokemon Go) hold incredibly detailed data about how you use their software.

In many jurisistictions, users have the right to access this data, and potentially share it with academic researchers for analysis.

We are interested in finding out about the experience donating data, and developing best practices for doing academic research with game data while protecting player privacy.

As Pokemon Go players ourselves, we're also interested in learning about how and why people play, and what they do in the game!
